LinkedIn has introduced a suite of new features designed to help newsletter creators grow their audience and engage readers more effectively. With these updates, LinkedIn aims to support the increasing number of professionals leveraging newsletters to share insights and foster discussions.
Over the past year, LinkedIn has seen a 59% increase in the number of members publishing newsletter articles. Engagement with these newsletters has also risen by 47%. To support this growing interest, LinkedIn is rolling out several new tools.
One major update is the revamped reading interface, which now displays comments alongside the newsletter articles. This allows readers to engage in discussions more easily while consuming the content, fostering a more interactive experience.
Creators can now design custom cover images for their newsletters using Microsoft's AI-powered Designer tool. This integration offers templates, size options, and design suggestions, enabling visually appealing and professional-looking covers.
To boost readership, LinkedIn is enhancing the notifications sent to newsletter subscribers. Subscribers will receive email alerts and in-app messages when a new issue is published. Additionally, LinkedIn will prompt your followers to subscribe, ensuring your content reaches a wider audience.
Creators can now embed links to other LinkedIn profiles and pages directly within their newsletter articles. This feature allows readers to click through and learn more about the individuals or companies mentioned, adding depth to the content.
LinkedIn now offers a staging link that previews the newsletter URL before publishing. This feature helps creators review and refine their content, ensuring it’s polished and ready for distribution.
With these new tools, LinkedIn is making it easier for newsletter creators to design, distribute, and engage their audience. By enhancing the reading experience, offering AI-assisted design tools, improving notification systems, and providing more interactive features, LinkedIn is positioning itself as a key platform for professional content sharing.
